Nonbinary Support Group
This group will meet every Wednesday for 10 weeks in the South Loop (1147 S Wabash) from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
This group will use a non-hierarchical framework and it is available if others are interested in implementing something similar. This our second time running an nb support group and we hope these are just the first of many groups like this.
Gender is a social construct that is shaped by many variables, including race. The two humans who launched this group are white and we do not use our marginalized gender identities as excuses to deflect our internalized racism. Our hope is that people of color who want to access this group will take leadership roles if they’d like. Our vision is that after two weeks, other group members who are interested will volunteer to facilitate upcoming weeks.
Thank you the new & innovative LGBTQ app & platform, Community A, for donating the space!
